Design Education Needs to Change

Design Education Needs to Change …Design Education Needs to Change …

I designed these slides as an abstract talk for one of the first editions of “Lak-Lak,” an original series of informal short talks inspired by PechaKucha (20 slides, 20 sec. per slide) and conceived in 2012 by photography artist Gary McLeod, when we were both teaching in Turkey at Izmir University of Economics, to promote faculty/student dialogues & social moments.

My presentation is designed to speculate and ponder over each word presented on the screen, independently of the meaning of the full sentence [to be discovered]. My intention was to embed some kind of serendipity into the talk, and to invite the audience to form their own picture of the challenging story.
