A 6×9" 330-page book, with custom vertical justification (33 lines per page) and running index #s in the outside margins. Set in Adobe Warnock. Typesetting time: 3 months in 69 design sessions; 18 proofing files.

Cover design details:

6×9", spine size 0.738" (330 pp.).
Cover in collaboration with Rainer J. Hanshe and the Estate of Gisèle Celan-Lestrange. The design features a gravure by Gisèle Celan-Lestrange (1966), the display typeface TT Alverata (selected for its clear legibility and diamond-dot, and also used for headings), and Celan's signature digitized in vector graphics for scalability and expressive use.
