The story of how this this casual graffiti-style calligraphy composition came together is unique in my mind. A moment of happiness and a meditation too. There was really no client behind, but I was sketching out some letters for a logo project. Coincidentally, at that time in Turkey, I had acquired a couple of new 10mm felt chisel tip markers and it just felt good using it. I think I did around 100 of those “A to Z” pieces but only three survived (the others got lost or misplaced), and I did not scan them all. Because I was just writing and writing, at some point the marker started to slowly run out of ink; that’s the moment I decided it was looking special… as it texture and speed went hand-in-hand, as if two time dimensions where closing together.
