Typesetting details:

A 7×10" 112-page book, dual language (German / English) with match typesetting on spread, with footnotes and endnotes, and ornamental rulers. Text parameters were fine tuned based on the copyfit for each language (German 6% longer) but also based on the average of characters per page frame (1,800) in relation to the translation. Custom Blackletter drop caps. Typesetting time: 10 weeks in 18 design sessions; 10 proofing files.

Cover design details:

7×10", spine size 0.234" (112 pp.).
Cover in collaboration with Rainer J. Hanshe. The design features a duotone image of the Statue of Melpomene, muse of tragedy (Monte Calvo, 2nd century AD; Ny Carlsberg Glyptothek, Copenhagen, Denmark).
